Working with the Body:

Introduction to Somatic Interventions

You've read The Body Keeps the Score...

Now learn how to bring the body into therapy

You know that trauma often lives in the body, but beyond asking clients what they feel physically, you're unsure what to do with this information, or how to guide them deeper.

This 2-hour experiential workshop is designed for early career therapists and those new to somatic work who want to bridge that gap—learning practical, safe, and trauma-informed ways to engage the body in therapy.

This online training covers the following:

  • An introduction to working with the body in psychotherapy
  • Experiential exercises to illustrate how memory is stored in the body
  • Developing somatic vocabulary
  • Implementing a range of somatic resources
  • Working within the client’s Window of Tolerance
  • Access to the session recording and handouts for 3 months after the training

Date: Monday 3rd February 2025

Time: 1-3pm

Cost: $100
