This on-demand training will focus on the PAI and covers the following:

  • Completion of the pen and paper version of the PAI (materials will be posted to you)
  • Scoring instructions
  • Overview of the test
  • Guidelines for administration and simulated assessment
  • Detailed interpretation guidelines so you can write a report from scratch and provide client-friendly feedback
  • You will be provided with an additional profile so you can write two reports for your supervisor to review and assess competency
  • Access to the session recording, notes and templates for 3 months after the training

Please note that you will require a strong internet connect and decent screen size (minimum 14″) in order to fully benefit from this group

In case you have questions...

How long will I have access to the recordings and training materials

You'll have access to the recording, notes and templates for 3 months after the training

Can I tick off the PAI competency requirements after this training?

This training will provide all the information you need to begin working on the tasks required to fulfil competency for a personality assessment. Attendance at the training will not in itself meet the internship competency requirements, which need to be assessed and signed off by the principal or secondary supervisor.

As per AHPRA guidelines: Each test must be administered, scored and interpreted as many times as necessary to achieve competence. Each test must then be competently demonstrated at least twice to a supervisor during direct observation of practice with real clients, or (where appropriate) in realistic simulated learning environments.

Therefore in order to meet competency in the PAI your supervisor will need to assess and sign off on the following:

•Two direct observations (either live or recorded) of you administering the PAI in a realistic simulated environment

•Discussion and review of two written reports to ensure accurate interpretation

•Two direct observations (either live or recorded) of you providing verbal or written feedback to a simulated client
